Rochester ny is also known as 'The Flower City' and Lilac Festival is arranged every year in the city. This festival is celebrated every May for ten days. About 400 varieties of Lilac are presented in the festival and near about 10,000 people come on the festival. Despite the reputation as a metropolitan city, Rochester NY has always promoted the local culture. About twenty miles southwest of Rochester, there is a Genesee Country Village and Museum.
