Bad credit credit cards, things to consider

Because the money is deducted from your account immediately rather than hanging in limbo until you pay it like a regular credit card, prepaid credit cards charge no interest. Instead, the issuer makes its money by levying fees to open an account and to deposit money into your account. Prepaid credit cards are good for most purchases, but you may find that businesses that want to put a hold on your account (like hotels) or that want to charge your account regularly (like magazine subions or health club subions) will not take prepaid credit cards. If you need to rebuild your credit rating, prepaid credit cards are unlikely to help you, since they are not considered a real line of credit. However, if you cannot get an ATM card and you need a card that is accepted as a credit card, then a prepaid card may be the answer to your problem.
